Exactly. I removed that too! Tried to access them from there.... WRONG IDEA!!!!! Ugh, that design is stupid too, it'* a pain to try and put all the peices back together once you get the dog house off.....

If you think changing the lugs on a Astro is a B****. Try a Thunderbird SC
or a Aerostar. My dad would have to drink a case of beer in order to have the patients to do it. Then would have another case of beer in celebration

No one said working on a van was a good idea.

I really don't think 3800 plugs are that bad for a V style engine. atleast before 00+.
