I dunno, there are sick people out there who appear to be normal but snap, and when that part of their brain goes "pop" things go terribly wrong.
Somtimes people dont see any other way out than to murder whatever it is thats in their way. Unfortunately, this was a helpless child.
I dont know if I would beat the person senseless, but torturing comes to mind.
