Purchased two levels, outlet cover, three 48" shop lights, eight 48" T8 bulbs, air quick disconnects, electrical tape, body filler, nails, two v-shape hangers, carpet cleaner, 80 grit sanding belts, three paint brushes, 500 watt halogen bulbs, and some Monster energy drinks.

I'll probably buy 2 shift solenoids, tcc pwm solenoid, range selector switch, two speed sensors, trans. filter, and trans. temp. switch. I still need to drop the trans. pan on my truck to double check to see if the three solenoids and the temp. switch are bad.

Lets start hearing about your daily driver ideas.

WOW tell me how you really feel buddy?

First of all I drive a 1/2 ton crew cab, second of all you clearly dont know me anywhere near well enough to criticize my driving or my experience driving a truck.

My idea of a custom truck may not be your cup of tea but i grew up with trucks, i drive lifted trucks almost daily out here I am financially able to afford it tire exhaust and stereo noise do not bother me. a city boy wouldnt be able to do any of this but i sure as hell can.

No criticism in the post whatsoever. Not sure why any sense of offense was taken. What I posted was the reality of a lifted truck as a daily driver. Lifted trucks are awesome for recreational use, and suck as daily drivers. Has nothing to do with one'* driving ability, if they grew up in the city or country, etc. Not to mention the failure rate of your truck'* suspension and driveline will increase, and the repairs will cost more. I have a lifted Jeep. It is awesome for recreational use, and super awesome to do a oil change on no jack required), but SUCKS as a daily driver. A quad cab 7" lifted truck SUCKS much more than a Jeep as a daily driver.

Easy there, gang. Its all a matter of opinion.
I use my truck as a DD. If I didn't drive so much every week, I'd lift mine up like that too. But I drive a ton of miles for work, and have family members and friends that could never get up in something that high.
Lifted trucks like that are common up here too. You grow up around something, and you just get used to it. Reality is whatever the person wants it to be. My friend drove a 69 Cutlass with a built 455 around daily, had a 355ci short bed S10 as a daily at one point too. I drove my turbo Regal in winter.. snow tires and all.. not impossible, even with all that rwd horsepower.
People thought I was crazy for buying a 3/4 ton Mark 3 conversion van for a tow rig for our homebuilt trailer years ago. Said there was no way I could drive that motorhome of a van and tow the trailer with it and not cause an accident. I managed just fine. I wanted the van, so I dealt with it. Just because it looks hard to drive for one person doesn't mean it is for another.

I'm kinda envious now. I want to see the finished look on that monster.

I hate it when someone has to just assume I know nothing you may have trouble with things breaking and unable to park but I don't I have no problem using this as a dd. and mike stop flexin ou truck driving nothing was even directed at you so why are you even saying that.

Well my birthday is coming up. Sounds like I need to start dropping hints to the wife...
