While there are some Ford cars I like, I think the overall reliability and affordability comes from GM vehicles.
I also noticed that the foreign car manufacturers are doing pretty well since I havent heard anything about them in the news lately, then again, IMO I think their lineup isnt that big when compared to GM or Ford.

This is getting sad. 10,000+ people without jobs, and alot of them have been with the company for many years and that are too old to go out looking for new jobs. I hope Ford and DC bounce back soon so these folks don't have to stand in line at the unemployment office and welfare office.

Well it takes along time to turn a super tanker around, but i think GM is doing it now that they are revamping there lines and arnt rebadging the same car for different brands. I really feel GM will onces again be on top of the mountain very soon

Wow 17.5 Million just for stepping in the door? How greedy rich can people be?
And I agree with Mike. Allot of those guys were there for a long time more than likely and now they face unemployment and may possibly be forced into early retirement.
Im not exactly sure how the auto manufacturing process goes, but what makes me wonder though, are these losses due to over manufacturing? I mean they wouldnt just make a 100,000 cars because they THINK they might sell them all, would they?
I just feel bad for all of those people without jobs now.
