You know those "Pontiac" magazines???

I wish they would do more articles or feature 3800 powered cars (not the Firebird but the Bonnevilles, Grand Prixes, maybe the other GM cousins in other mags) because I truly believe the magazine sales will go through the roof. I looked at the latest "Pontiac High Performance" magazine and there wasn't any 3800 powered cars in it. Ads maybe but I didn't look hard enough

Don't you guys wish they would feature the Bonnevilles and the Grand Prixes (the FWD ones, not the old RWD ones, we've seen enough of them)

couldn't agree more

first thing i did when i bought this car:

i knew about bc, so i signed up for it.

second was go to the local borders' books and look at car mags, specifically pontiac ones.. nothing in there even remotely about 3800s..

i was like

"wtfman"

really, :?

it's stupid

I guess you have to look at it from a corporate perspective. :?

I think thier target audience is people hoping up 2 door sports cars not four door 6 cylinder sedans. Maybe we all need to hit them with letters and pics showing the 3800 is not just a family sedan hauler.

Hmm? Well, I'm guessing there is more Bonneville fans out there so assuming, there's five thousand of us that subscribe to it, plus the GP freaks and the Impalas, Monte Carlos, etc. That has to be A LOT!!!! I don't see how you can go wrong, I mean, most things that works for the GP's 3800 usually works for the Bonneville. I just don't see how it can lose profits?

You have to look at the numbers. For every Bonneville enthusiast (not someone who drives one, but someone who actually drives/mods/races their car) there are probably 10 Firebird enthusiasts. And in all honesty, do you think that Joe Sixpack standing at the magazine rack would want to pick up the magazine doing an article about bolt-on mods for a big FWD 4 door, or how to get 600 hp from a RWD V8?

It's all about the almighty dollar

Pick up a copy of High Performance Pontiac. I have a subscription. IIRC, the Dec., 2005 (or maybe it was Jan., 2006) had a 6 page article on a turbo conversion of a L67 in a 05 GP. Intense even had an ad in the magazine.

The info is scarce, but it's out there. ;)
