I believe that your car was classified as B body. There were 3 mods to that chassis...the B, which was Caprice/Impala, the Parissiane (SP?), and the pre-86 Delta 88and Lesbre.
The D body was the Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham and the 98 Regency.

Great cars all!!!!!! Long live the BIG CARS!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the Forum HeavySS! I've always been a big car owner too! The bonny is my first V6 ever. I bought it 5 1/2 years ago, the choice was between a 95 ImpalaSS and the bonny. The interior of the bonny won me over, especially the seats!!
BTW- when i bought the car the kiddies were 2 & 4. Their 7 & 9 now and love riding in the big black (fast) boat. (I dont now if i would attempt to race you tho)

Oops. I didn't see the pic. I assumed it was an H Impala!

I had that same body, too. A Buick Roadmaster with an LT1. Alas! That car got totalled. 10k of damage to the rear end alone. Now I drive a Bonneville, so I guess it wasn't ALL bad!

Welcome.. Impalas are definitely nice.. funny how it seems a lot of people are torn between Impalas and Bonnies. I don't mind the new Impalas.. but drool over the pre 96 LT1 RWD ones.. the only reason I didn't get it was cause I have a few friends and I at times will participate in street racing ( no.. only on industrial areas as so the public don't get hurt ).. and have and Impala would make a lot of people uneasy ( thinkin it'* an undercover ) or worse.. havin people go talk to the undercover thinkin it was me. My choices were pre 96 Impala, Cadillac STS, and the Bonneville. I chose the Bonneville cause of Muffin ( AKA Tamara, Queen Bonneville ).

If you're wife and yourself wants a newer bonnie.. I would recommend 95+ N/A model with Series II.. or 96+ */C'd model. If you can afford it.. 98+ */C supposedly have re-enginieered heads that doesn't crack when you mod it. But since I don't think she'll want to mod it.. those would be good..
