Default Yeah, About those Bosch Sensors...

They are POS

I replaced the one on my Suburban (not sure what brand was in there previously) with a Bosch. That was 13 Sept 2006 @ 130,285. I put all of the maintenance that is performed on my vehicles in the manual for reference. Yes, I know I'm anal

Yesterday or the day before, I was driving the ol' brute and as I was backing, I gave her some juice and I noticed a nice puff of black @ $2.23 / gal come poppin' out of the pipe The mileage now is 131, 9xx

This was the original reason why I changed the O2 back in Sept. I changed it, the gas mileage went up and life was good

So this morning, I went to the dealership and bought an AC Delco PT # 25166816 and I am curious to see how it does. The price was not too bad, $57.90.

I have not tried the Denso. I have never seen them around. Napa and Schuck'* are it for auto parts stores here in Anchorage and they only carry Bosch

Done Ranting Any Questions or Comments??

I changed the O2 in the Zilla 4 years ago right after I bought the car. We didn't know the evils of Bosch at the time (at least not very well, we had under 200 members here).

My mileage went up for about 30 days. Then dropped like a rock. I went with AC Delco then. It'* fine to this day, but I have a new one ready to go in with the rebuild this winter anyway.

I'm just hopeful that this puts everything back to where it needs to be. I know it'* a Suburban and the gas mileage is not the greatest but, if your not riding the hammer, they do alright.

F*** Bosh I had to crawl under the truck, in the snow (it'* puking snow here this morning and cold as heck) and swap it out.

I'm running a Bosch O2 right now and it'* doing the same thing that Will was talking about. The mileage was up a lot, and now it'* back down . The only reason I bought it was because it was my only choice.... DAMN YOU AUTO ZONE!
