Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

Yay for me!!

Hey don't be jealous. I have three other people besides myself living off that wage, a house, property, three vehicles, retirement savings, kids university savings, etc...
Not much at all left over at the end of the month.
....now if I were single and 25 years old, that would be different.

I loved delivering pizza back when I was in high school... I made $4/hr plus tips at the time, and I never had any problems with cash flow. But, we were required to dress decently and be polite and respectful to customers (what an idea, huh?! ) Since customer service has been flushed down the toilet in recent years, you probably are experiencing the public'* reaction to most of the poor service out there (i.e. bad tips), even if you are the employee of the month.

Don't worry, this too will pass.

Not much money there, but I consoder that one of the most "honorable" professions there are right now. Busting your butt for next to nothing teaching other peoples kids. I have all the respect in the world for (most) teachers...

Hey!! I work in customer service! Too bad a lot of my co-workers fit the stereotype and are total idiots. We just got rid of one of them tonight, tho. CS ain't the easiest job in the world. You just can't train people to deal with customers. You either got it, or you don't. Unfortunately, a lot of them don't, and it gives the rest of us a bad name. But then again, customers can be a PITA, too. Don't call me screaing and cussing thinking I'm gonna do you a favor. Be at least semi-polite and I may be able to pull a few strings.

And I always tip the piza guy at least 3 bucks. More if it'* bad weather or whatever...

Yes but I just am gonna wait for one of my future students to become famous or rich or both and blackmail them into giving me money so I wont release stories about them mwahahahahaha

Teachers do get paid more in Canada then the states but the time is coming now unfortunatly where we are becoming less teachers and more babysitters, anytime we want to do something unorthodox it will get shut down by administration, Im not a teacher yet but this is what I have heard from many

That'* what I meant, those OTHER idiots. I came from a Customer Service background too (after my pizza delivering days), which is how I know what it is SUPPOSED to be like. Don't worry, I have no doubt you are not one of the common stereotypes.
