I know it'* a bit late, but my xmas was celebrated a little late. I got a Dremel 400XPR kit, along with the 185 piece accessory kit. Now what kind of trouble can I get into??

I wanted a dremel but didn't get one. :( I got a cheap one a couple years ago and I can't even untighten it to swap attachments.

I burn two dremels up a year. I'm switching to min-die grinders to run off the compressor instead.

It may benefit you to stand by for about 30 days and see the L36 manifold I'm sending to a test car.

Get a used L36 LIM in the meantime.

Works for me. Just try to remember which tools you used on it. I may have to buy more.

Forget about anything made with stone for aluminum work.

You'll be using carbide cutters. They look like agressive twist drill bits.

While there is some P&P I would like to do under the hood, most of the stuff I need one for shouldn't be too hard on it. But are the DREMEL brand rotary tools more reliable than the $25 Black and Decker tools at Wally World?

Boosty and I both used B/D'* for awhile. I burned mine up in half the time it takes me to smoke a Dremel. And the B/D'* don't have replaceable brushes for the motor.

In short, they suck for any kind of TOUGH work.

For itty bitty crafty balsawood crap, they're fine. If you plan on aluminum or harder material, forget them.

For you, Pete, I'd save your money. You can borrow Bill'* or go over there and port your LIM in an hour.
