Actually, they can do that after 11pm, and it'* kind of a gentlemen'* agreement between cable companies and the FCC. Cable doesn't push it, and neither does the FCC...

maybe im wrong, but i have been told that, being cable is a paid subscription, it is not regulated by the fcc.

There'* a massive grey area around that one, so they came up with that agreement. The FCC might not win any eventual lawsuit, but the fight would bankrupt both parties...

FCC does regulate cable service. The FCC is quite involved in broadcasting of all sorts. Certain newer technologies haven't fallen under their jurisdiction, yet...but they probably will eventually.

Cable is regulated differently than the basic broadcast channels. There are different standards, and I think something about intent. You don't really have a choice to get Comedy central or most of the other channels in your cable package. If you pay for cable, you get all of those. I think that'* probably why it'* regulated, while HBO and subscription channels are not (Playboy channel, other **** channels).

One night, a few years ago, they forgot to censor "Wild On!"
Oh my!

BTW - you can see the Show them to me video on youtube. The girl in the balcony sure stopped the show! LOL. Did you catch the remark he made at the end of the song?

Yeah, I saw the show too, and wasn't paying much attention. Then in the corner of my eyes...I see... *****! lol

Since I have a DVR I "relived" the experience a few times... lol
