Default Wow - F15s

About 10 - 20 F15s just flew over low, in pairs. Probably practicing for President Ford funeral tomorrow. It would be great for something like that for Chad...

Living in a rural area, not far (by air) from Whiteman AFB, we get a lot of plane action around here. They seem to love to come out here and fly just barely above the treeline.

I see a few different types of planes, but these seem to be the most common ones, usually in groups of 2 or 3, and quite loud when theyre like 20 feet above your house.

I've seen them at the air-shows. Ugly plane, but also very impressive.

Shook me right out of my Craftmatic Adjustable Bed, tripped over my scooter, and kicked my cane while going out to look. Then after all the excitement, I had to sit down with my oxygen tank!

I'm going to be careful when we meet. Specially if you are carrying a cane....

I tell ya, the loudest birds I have heard have been:

F-4 Phantom II
B-52 (for obvious reasons)
B-1 (T/O and approach configurations...high-speed pass was quiet until 2 seconds after it passed, then it got really loud)
737-100 (There is one that flies into Orlando International from time-to-time)

In comparison, the A-10s are quiet.

F-4'* are indeed loud. I worked on RF-4B'* for 3 years.
