So my bro is in town from Texas and he wanted to go to this car show in Illinois on Sat. So I decided to go with him and a friend of his that he grew up with. So his friend picks me up and says check out the mag on the floor it'* where we are going. I look and was like aww man. We were headed to the Chevy Vettefest at the Rosemont. lol I am more of a Ford man but I can appreciate any classic so on we went. We got there at about 10am and saw some real nice cars from all eras. Then we started to walk through some of the swap stuff and I found something I have been looking far a good deal on for 5 years now. Someone at the show was actually selling a SB Ford Performer RPM air gap intake for $120 !!!! Yeah this is a $230-$250 manifold. It is new with no box but who cares. The guy said he mounted it all and went to close the hood but couldn't cause the carb was too high. Lol! So I tried to offer $100 but he only would split the difference. So I got the intake deal I had been after for 5 years at a all Chevy show . I think it is pretty funny. I am probally the only one who would have even thought to buy it. I have a single plane on my Ranchero now and need more low end and this is exactly what I need. Here are a few pics.
