Wow, dont know how i missed this. Being a nursing student i will give you my input. I agree with the dentist, they cant touch it until you finish a cycle of antibotics (must be a 10 day course that must be why they are telling you 10 days). First thing first, take your antibotics EXACTLY how they told you, right down to the time. Dont miss any pills and dont say "aw well, i will just take it tonight instead of this morning". That will negate the effects of the antibotic. As for the reason they will not touch it is that with an absess you have a very good change of becoming spetic (infection in the blood). That is very dangerous and i garantuee you will get use to a hospital bed if that happens . Do you have any history of heart defects (MVP, if you dont know what it stands for then more then likely you dont have it). If you do then that is the main reason why nothing is being done.

PS- What do they have you on for pain meds right now?

PSS- if you have any question or whatever just pm me and i will give you my opinion and if i dont know i will try to get you an answer.

Knee'*

Aint got nothing on me...

I have a severe threshold for pain. This could be part of the reason I don't sweat the small stuff.

I have had major spinal surgery was on my my back for 6 weeks, 2 surgeries on my left foot the last one they actually removed the front of the foot pied it and stapled it back together. the first one was to relocate the alcelise ?sp tendon

for the last surgery i took 2 tylonal 3'* and was walking at 6 weeks removing the cast by myself on the 12th week 6-8 weeks early lol

I handle pain very well except for this Now mind you I did drive close to a 1000 miles like this. I remember checking in to the hotel in Hamburg the man at the desk thought I had been Jumped and wanted to call the police lol

I'm J/K
I had to say it

That looks serious, have 'em knock you out and yank those suckers
That looks like stuff I only see on the Three Stooges when they have a toothache.

Well tomorrow cash in hand im going in to a dentists office. hopefully he can put me out and pull them. But he does come highly recommended in being a gental dentist and let me say this he better be or he might end up missing some teeth of his own.

Holy cow Rob! That'* incredible.... lesson learned....don't put off going to the dentist next time! They have Sedation Dentistry around here....sometimes they hypnotize you....other times just knock you partially out of it... I just go and deal with it...which reminds me... need to schedule a teeth cleaning...

Well hell...I must be a freak of nature then...I've had some tooth infections that I let go because I too have an innate fear of dentists...The infections have gone away - without antibiotics - and I'm still here. I do need to break down and go to the dentist at some point...

But, yeah, definitely go get checked out.

Went to the dentist today...

He froze me (that was the worst freezing I have ever had)
then waited and attempted to pull the tooth (I wasnt having it) I got up and walked out.

He wasn'[t the kind of dentist for me I found him rough and very unfriendly.

I'm now in the process of calling a dentist I know and TRUST... an hour away.
