I've been working in the wireless industry for nearly 15 years now. Those who know this will often ask me who is the best service provider. This is a difficult question to answer though. It'* like asking "what'* the best car" or "what'* the best diet". What is best is that you get a service provider that suits YOU the best. Coverage, price plans, handset choices, features and options will vary from provider to provider. I have yet to see one company be "top dog" in all of these categories in any one geographical area.

My first tip in finding a new provider is to make sure they offer a return policy that enables you to return the equipment and cancel the contract. Most will have this and it'* usually 15 to 30 days. Also, try to buy your phones at a "Company" store rather than an authorized agent. It seems nowadays these agents are popping up everywhere. Some are better than others but typically your experience will be better at a Company owned store. It is the service after the sale that is typically lacking from the agents.

Anyone here moved their number yet? We plan on doing this.
The "porting" process still is having some growing pains. Make sure you bring in your latest bill from the current provider. Any descrepencies in the information can delay the port to days. If everything goes the way it was intended, you should have full service with the new provider in 3 hours.

Oh i agree on the location, we're either doing it online, or at some T-Mobile store, not wally world or anything. I Just wanted to know if anyone had any secrets they wanted to share.

And i've got a checklist on what to need for portability, one thing with that is, DON'T CANCEL YOUR OLD SERVICE everywhere...

At this rate.... Pretty soon when you're born, you'll get your phone # given to you like Social Security, is that bad or good? Who knows

I have a family plan from T-Mobile. I thing there great. Costs me regular time to call anywhere in the us from anywhere in the us. Never had any problems with them to date. I have the Nokia 3595 , which is a good phone, my fiance has the Blue samsung, dont like that one.
