why when i send an IM does it go in the outbox not the sent

Shouldn't the message go in the sent box not the outbox ?? Mzn im having a tough night...

This doesn't belong in Gen Chat FYI

Messages go to the outbox until the person you sent the message to logs in and receives the message. Then it moves to the sent box. Pretty cool if you ask me because it is a good indication of whether or not the person has read the message yet.
