The thought occured to me.
Plus, with very careful planning and much reading of the tax law, one can save on one'* taxes by using careful deductions and depreciation for all the improvements.
I too have been busy with home improvement projects as the funds allow. But nothing to your level yet lash, mostly indoor stuff.
I need to finish the laundry room and totally make over one bedroom in the basement to be 100% done inside.
This summer will be busy outside.
Deck repairs.
New roof shingles.
New eves.
Paint exterior.
Install garage door.
Move a storage shed into the back of my shop as to extend the floor space, need to build transition to join the 2 buildings.

Thanks for the tax advice, Mark. I do that now, but it never hurts to make sure all is accounted for when looking for ways to keep my money in MY pocket.
PDad, you've got your work cut out for you, for sure. I've still got many smaller items to complete on this one.
- New extrior dorr for the utility room, just purchased on sale today.
- Shutters for four windows to complete the upgrade look on the sides seen from the road.
- demolish and remove one of two metal sheds in back yard; it was crushed by a tree sometime before I bought the house.
- extend and epoxy the front porch floor.
- etch and epoxy the garage floor.
- replace old worn out sliders with french doors.
oh, and much more crap...I mean stuff.
In any case it'* still worth it, just time consuming and tiring sometimes.

Mike, I really do like what you've done to the place. Thanks for all the work and the invite, I should be there sometime this summer. Did you say my room was the one down the hall on the left.
Last time we were in Florida was.....................well it was to long ago.
I'll let you know when we're leaving.
Great looking home Mike.

Why yes, Frank. Your room is to the left down the hall, after you go through the room with the new pool table in it. Maybe we'll play some cards on his new poker/dining room table too. Then we'll take the boat out for spin.
