It seems like every time I turn around these days, I see someone jumping down another member'* throat, usually for no reason. What'* the deal? Is it pre-holiday blues, or is half our membership PMSing(no offense to the ladies, I'm talking to the guys), or what?

I'm not calling out anyone in particular, very much the reverse. I'm talknig to everyone. It seems like the entire population is ready to put teeth to anyone for the slightest mis-step these days.
Everybody chill, have fun, support your fellow members, or if that doesn't work for you, just keep your bad moods to yourself.

Ive slowed down visiting this site for the same reasons you listed, and i can name other members that have done the same too.

Seriously, though, it'* more than just "down", it seems downright hostile lately. I mean, there are a few subjects I get touchy about, and I've certainly jumped on some people over some political things, but come on, some of the arguments lately are just silly...

This is psychology at work.

If you make something negative, then other people will act or be negative towards that subject or person. If I paid attention in psychology, I would have remembered the exact term.
