Default why are doctors so stupid

ok i still am having problems with my back. i had a bad work accident for those of ya that didnt know.. well i have a severly pulled muscle as one doc put it and a torn muscle as anotherone put it. but i had cat scans & mri'* and they came back negitive. well thats why the work comp doc said. but i saw the image on the screen and im no doc but it looked ot me like a buldged disk (sorta sticking out the side of my spine) but anyways. i get to go see a doctor like once a week. mind you im not aloud to drive cause of the pain pills im on......... so i have to find a ride every where. but um ok today i went to go see my phyical thyropist 1st time to go see him. and he was poking at my back does this hurt does that hurt how about this... ok it i started screaming ater you touched me the first time what makes you think its gonna feel any diff the second time. so he finaly said he was unable to determain the severity of my spine. cause i was in to much pain. mind you i took dbl my meds this morn just cause i knew i was gonna be in alota pain. so now he is refering me to a pain managment specialst. then after i get done there i get to go see my other doc. ok ive been to this place like 15 times now and every time i go there i see a diff doc. so................. its a walkin clinc type place. but once agian i get these docs that are like does this hurt does that hurt. i jusr wanta punch them and ask them did that hurt...................... but finnaly after b1tching for 3 weeks they are FINALY referring me to a spinal specialist. but then after this was all done and over with i was suposta go to work!!! hahahaha ya right, my shift was almost 1/2 way over but nope i took the second half the day off (mind you my first apt was at 11 this morn and i didnt get home till after 4) and since it was due to doc apt they didnt take any passes from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wahoo.. but after a long day the only good thing that has happened was ups brought me my new headlight capsule w/ clear corners. oh well had to b1tch and rant and rave. ok ill shut up now.

When the Docs probe and poke, they call it Palpation All doctors use it as a way to find out whats wrong based on how much pain in what area they poke and prod.

Think of it like car problems. If something goes wrong that you have seen before many times, you know what the problem is based on a certain noise or squeel and fix it, I guess the doctors like to use their hands allot

Hope ya feel beter though, back pain SUX!! Heck, ANY pain sux!!

I would hate to have to go through all of that. I don't do pain well. I am good at causing pain but not getting pain.

I hope you get this resolved and feel better soon.

Mighty fine advice there. You only have 1 yr from the date of the accident to persue it legally, so... GET R DUN!

You forgot one thing about doctors- what they do is called "practice medicine" so that proves they ain't too good at it yet. Maybe when they practice enough they will stop poking and prodding you.

I like to think that each new one is THINKS he'* better than the last one and is expecting to find something the last one missed.
