Default Why do cars have to be so complex? I need some serious help

Well my car was having problems like the battery dying and stuff so I replaced the altanator and it still has the same problem.......so I replaced the battery and after about 1 hr of driving with the lights on the battery dies......the low voltage light will not come on untill the car completely dies out the lights get so dim! fuses look good int he box and in the inside of the car but darn this gives me a headache i had to remove so much stuff to get that altanator out its so burried!!!

Sounds like a bad alternator maybe? Did you have autozone check it out, I think they do battery and alternator tests.

The battery is brand new from wal-mart and the alternator is a junk-yard alternator that was tested and is working some kind of fuse/cable problem or mabey a bad ground?

OMG I cant belive this I wasted $50 and so much time it ended up being the in line mega fuse 175 amp 32v fuse I bought a voltage tester and after the fuse there was no power duh me!!!! I just bolted the 2 lines together to by pass the fuse but I now know why the low voltage light did not come on........it was sending signals to the computer that there was power from the alternator but the inline fuse prevented it from getting to the battery omg I feel so imbaraced I am mad and happy at the same time tho

another depressing thing is that my old alernator looks newer and in better shape than the other one
