Try having rolling veins... I literally have been stuck24 times by 4 different people on one visit. There was a kid in the area where they did the lab draws and he was watching in amazment; at one point he looked at the Doc and said " I think he'* dead, got no blood."
Now I just ask for the butterfly needle and avoid the whole mess; it goes in the back of your hand.

We got someone else in there and they hit the vein the first time( Had to go to the other arm )
When I had to have a handy dandy bunch of tubes taken every month because of the meds I was on, They use the Butterfly.... It sure is the way to go.. and the good thing is that Doctors and Nurses love my Veins

I had to do my own IV once. Good thing I had Combat Lifesaver training. Even with the monster veins I have, the poor Private they had trying to set my IV just could not hit one. He was sweating bricks, too. I guess he thought he was gonna catch hell from the MP Sergeant...
So finally, I just asked him for the needle, popped it in, and told him it would be our secret if he'd just ask for some extra training (on anyone but me).
