But for those of you who actually know there 1/4 mile times , what are they?

egladman 03-18-2003 11:04 PM

:bsmeter: i'd research some of the vehicles in here before you start saying stuff like that.

tutu67 03-18-2003 11:29 PM

No offense to the noob but I think your a litle high on yourself and your car. You know there is a lot of us who would love to have that stuff, but we don't have the budget cause we are too busy making a life. I'm glad your a Bonne owner but don't go around struting your stuff thinking your all that.(sort of acting like ppl who drive rice)

mista_sse 03-19-2003 01:30 AM

wtf is this club GP? Mustang? oh well, I really don't race my car often, (all it took was 2 speed'n tickets fo me!) If u can get away with it what the hell I guess! Personally I tought the bonne was a family car not a race car, plenty of members have proved me wrong about that.

I'ts mista :woowoo: usess his car to :pimp: them gals!

96SSEiBonnie 03-19-2003 07:32 AM

I was being mostly sarcastic and joking around in my last post if u couldnt tell, but ya right now im in college and i work my uh but off to pay for college stuff and stuff for my car. But Burgundy Boat says he has a 8 or 9 second car? :bsflag:

complinitor 03-19-2003 08:39 AM

Can we please not start this kind of thread again? All it does is bring in the flamers from the CGP. I personally do not have to list all my mods, nor do I have to put up with all the crap that they spit out of their childish mouths. I do run a 13.99. I will be getting some pics as soon as I can afford to get to the track again (unemployed computer guru) and I will SCAN my track slip and post it here. I have dumped over $3000 into my present engine and just started the build on a new L67 mill.

The new mill WILL NOT have a blower on top. This is the twin turbo setup that I have been gawking about for 6 months. I got a great deal on the core, so I got it. No money right now to do any work on it, so the project waits. Speedyguy (Domestic Performance) and I have briefly spoken about the dual TB intake setup that I will be running. It should be good for about 400-450HP (AT THE CRANK...multiply by .8 to get estimated wheel HP), but we'll have to wait for the finish product to be load on the dyno for that, won't we?

Don't worry peeps, I will defend our honor with this new machine against the terrible hordes of CGP'ers that batter us with their insessant rambling and immature claims of godliness. Props to BadSSEi and his sub-12 Bonneville, but he chooses to play with them...not us. Many thanks to everyone here that has stood behind Turtle and I and the others that go veryveryvery fast. You make coming to this site a pleasure!!

smellbird 03-19-2003 09:32 AM

Twin Turbo??!! I've been looking at doing this for a very long time, but because of budget I could only dream of single turbo. Even that would be sweet. Actually I would just like to have that nice blow off valve sound. Probably scare away all the ricers if they even know what that sound is!

Hehe it's ok, 96SSEi, I could tell you were joking...I have pretty much all the same mods you do (everything, in fact....) except for the exhaust and i have 15% tint all around...that's the only difference :D Plus my car is an SE.

When I was saw the topic of the this thread i was thinking (forehead slap) IT HAS TO BE...

hehehehehehe
But to save flame wars I'll leave it unsaid...I'll let those of you out there who know me finish that sentence :lmao:

salserin69 03-19-2003 10:50 AM

Fastest car....

All I can say is that as a new kid on this block, it is educational for me since I don't have the knowledge on modifications, but looking forward to beef-up my bonny and keep on dreaming with that twin turbo,

It's true, ask Will. He should back me up

willwren 03-19-2003 02:53 PM

He does.....but he didn't say what DISTANCE, did he?

C'mon guys. Let's all be civil. Remember this ist he Boat we're talking about. Civics beating vipers, etc?

One of the things I like about this place is the lack of serious competition. Our whole existence doesn't revolve around our 1/4 mile times. Luxury with Attitude means something here.

I KNOW there are NA cars faster than me, and I think it's great. My budget won't allow me to do what I really want to this car, so I get my satisfaction out of helping when I can, and watching the rest of you road warriors get faster every day.

The recent flamer with the GP owners was unfortunate, but it WILL happen again. We'll just stick close and cover each other's butts. Just like we did with Turtle and Complinitor. These are our members, fellow Bonneville enthusiasts, and friends. Almost family sometimes.

I'm just happy to be here with a great bunch of guys (and gals).....btw, where the hell are the rest of our gals? The queen and lilpooky are the only ones that come around any more. Who scared the rest away?

Allmachtige 03-19-2003 05:52 PM

Lets just drop this, he was probably just messin' around anyway. I just don't wanna see us get split up by flamming eachother on who's faster, unless its a running joke...

For example: The whole "RED cars are faster than GREEN cars" is humorous because it's been argued back and forth.

96SSEiBonnie 03-19-2003 06:20 PM

hahaha ya Allmachtige is right, this wasnt ment to be a serious post

Sol 03-19-2003 09:46 PM

With my force fed rocket engine, we all know mine is the fastest!!!

Salvaged from NASA's wrecking yard..no wonder the shuttle program is on hold...

Sorry..to soon?

complinitor 03-19-2003 10:04 PM

We bow to you, oh great exhaust pipe!!!

Sol 03-20-2003 06:45 AM

I only turn that on when someone tailgates me, unless it is another Bonnie.

willwren 03-20-2003 12:55 PM

What's your fuel mileage?

hey, i'm not sure if you realized this but, YOU ARE DRIVING A RICE BURNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ratmfan2118 03-20-2003 02:16 PM

You know Allmachtige was right certain arguments are just in humor even though we all know silver can beat both red and green no problem

smellbird 03-20-2003 05:40 PM

Nope, black is faster. It's harder to spot at night! 8)

That's not an exhaust pipe. It's a rocket booster.

Like I said, you are driving a rice burner...

When you light that thing up you burn the rice behind you, thus it is a rice burner

Jim W 03-20-2003 08:21 PM

I have the fastest!! mwuh ahahahah

Ya....right

...unless we brainstorm like we did eh Drifter? Series II SC from a wrecker dropped into Red Light District :P  change that tranny too.... 8)

GTX COWBOY 03-20-2003 08:42 PM

Everyone on the internet talks their car up, show up and race with the GP crowd, bring all the fast Bonnevilles, and prove timeslips in front of lots of people, same goes for them.

The twin turbo project sounds interesting, $3000 is not alot to spend on mods for a 3800, nor will it get in 13's in a N/A GP or Bonnie, Scott Cook hasn't "chose" the GP community, he sells performance parts, and 90% of people who buy them are GP enthusiasts

I cant wait until I have my mods done in my 98 SSEI-peeps- so I too can kick some ass again, but until then I am going to come up with a mod list that looks good and a 1/4 mile time I like and when people call me on it I wont be able to reveal exactly how, or post proof besides word of mouth, Nothing personal, I just need hard evidence to believe a claim like that, and if I get it I'll eat crow and be amazed as many others would.

Jim W 03-20-2003 08:52 PM

Ladies and Gents?

I'm sorry..are we being taken literally here..? cuz last time I checked Sol had a shuttle booster and I have the worlds fast land vehicle :P

We are just havin some fun on a Thursday night....

Sol 03-20-2003 09:07 PM

I gotta be careful with that booster. It gives a little more wheel spin than I like.

smellbird 03-20-2003 10:18 PM

Maybe if you add a dry nitrous system you could hit light speed? I'm thinking a 3 or 4 thousand shot should do it. :)

willwren 03-20-2003 10:28 PM

If people wish to share their timeslips or Dyno sheets voluntarily, that's fine. This forum will NOT turn into a place where your 1/4 mile time is a competition or a reason to gain respect.

We will not put any member through the indignity of being called a liar or a bullshitter.

Do NOT ask for timeslips or dyno sheets publicly on this forum. It causes too many flames. If you wish to ask privately, then do so.....however, any member that gets harrassing PM's or emails from any other member here should report it immediately to an Admin or Moderator.

This place doesn't run like ClubGP. Those of us who are members (including myself) both here and at ClubGP need to remember that this is a different atmosphere. A month ago, if you'd asked for a timeslip, it might not have been much of an issue. However, since our recent flamer with ClubGP, this is a very sensitive issue. I can personally vouch for Comp and Turtle's numbers, and so can Hector, and perhaps some other members that remember that far back. For the time being, this will have to satisfy your curiosity.

In the short-term, Turtles new creation will once again make believers of many. Stay tuned for some interesting developments.

Please return this topic to 'gentler and kinder' direction.

Whats wrong with it???(other than maby CowBoy's post)

willwren 03-20-2003 10:53 PM

What's wrong with what? Asking for proof? Nothing was wrong with it until about a week ago, if you know what I mean.

What's wrong with it is that it historically causes flames.

Nope, not asking for proof, just wanting to understand what you were talking about because all I saw in this thread was playful joking.

I might have been missunderstood though, i was wondering what you were refering to by the "gentler" ect. comment
