Who knows stuff about GPs with the 3.4?
Looking at a car right now, a 95 GP GTP with the 3.4. Here is the craigslist listing: http://madison.craigslist.org/car/306293610.html Should I be running from this? I just talked to the guy and he told me theres nothing wrong with it and it runs really good, so if anything what should i look out for?
Wanna kinda get something moving here cause I need a car, so we'll see. Let me know. Thanks.

The 3.4 really isn't that bad, the biggest issues with them are the timing belt (regular maintenance i think is every 80k that should be replaced...might be 60k I'm not sure) and changing the alternator isn't easy to do. Other than that they really aren't that bad. However, that timing belt breaks and you are screwed...
well i had a feeling that they aren't great because the car only has 180k and already has a replacement engine? Yeh, wonderful.
So the final verdict is probably RUN FAST isn't it?
Off to look for a 3800. Also, guys, please keep your eyes peeled for a sub 120k 3800, under $2k, preferably LN3 or L27. Thanks.

Many have cars with the 3.1 and 3.4. Like most other GM cars the intake gaskets go and need to be done every so often. Check and see if GM revised to an aluminum gasket for them and consider doing the gaskets if you pick it up.
