Lucky bastids...I wanted to stay home this weekend and save some gas. I'll have to change my oil come Saturday. Just did it 5 weeks ago

Welp, leaving about 6:00am for a 909 mile drive from Daytona, FL to Belle Vernon, PA. Total time estimated at 14 hours.

I was going to take the 90 Bonneville, but my folks objected, insisting that I get a rental for the trip. So, I arranged a rental.

Then, my wife, who has been making noises for months about getting a new car, dragged me to the dealership on Sunday. End result: the 1997 Chevy Astro is gone, and a 2006 Pontiac Torrent came home in it'* place. (I pushed really hard for a Solstice, or GTO, or even a Grand Pix GXP...no dice, it'* her car and she wanted the Torrent.)

So, with the deer rifle in the back, along with everybody'* gear, we depart in the morning.
