Default Where to go for vacation?

Thinking of going somewhere for a few days for my girlfriend'* birthday in August. Doing the tourist type stuff and whatnot. So far, we are considering:

Chicago
Ney York City
Boston

I have been to Chicago a couple times, she has been to none of these places. I know there are a lot of members from these areas or who have been there. Any thoughts or ideas of things to do, to help us decide? Coming from Michigan so driving time is a consideration. Looking for a 4-5 day trip.

For me it would have to be Chicago!! I want to visit there so bad, it'* been at least 3 years since I've seen my friends there. I want to go to the Shed Aquarium and the Field Museaum of Science and Brookfield Zoo. I love driving down LSD especially at night. I get a touch of homesickness when I see a movie like "Ferris Bueller'* Day Off" and see the city.

He said driving time is a consideration. I think it would take them that long to get there. What is there to do in Seattle or Vancouver B.C.??? I've never been to either location.
