Default Where to find a cheap laptop?

Looking for a cheap laptop. Doesn't need to be fast or new, it just needs to work. I don't even need an operating system installed on it. Something that can handle Windows XP and has wireless capability or a suitable slot to plug in a wireless card. It will mostly be used for internet browsing and standard MS Office apps; nothing crazy like gaming or video editing.

If anyone has something for sale or knows a good place to find reliable laptops please let me know. I've been checking Craiglist for a few days, but would appreciate any other tips for finding something decent. Thanks!

I don't think Newegg caters to what I'm looking for. I checked their offerings, and many of their prices are very low, but I need something for less than $300. Like I said, it can be old and not even include an OS... just needs to work properly.

Honestly, I wouldn't buy a laptop off newegg, anyways. Unless you're going with a custom built Asus or something you want to do on your own. Ebay is probably your best bet, or a member getting rid of an old one.

Local newspaper, pc users group, or Craigslist would be the best bet imo.
