Default Where do you picture yourself in 2027?

I'll be 41.

Assuming I am alive (60% chance)

I imagine i will be living in a large appartment complex in a farming community somewhere in the midwest. I will have 1-2 younger kid(*).

I will not own a car, since gas prices will be $500 a gallon.

I will either be working for a company which manufactures energy products like solar panels or wind generators, the IT industry, or I will work in the agriculture industry

Walmart will have gone out of business several years earlier, so I will walk to the local farmers market for my food. My diet will consist mostly of grains and veggies, meat products will pretty much be non-existant in my diet.

The US dollar will increase by 15 times what it currently is. I will be making $500,000 a year, however barely able to pay the $20,000 per month rent on my appartment each month.

Thats my guess. We'll see what happens.

Where do you picture yourself in 20 years?

I see myself 15 years married, a senior associate in an architectural firm, a father and be comfortable in my custom designed/built home. If I can do that in 20 years, I'll be happy.

I'll be 48.

Hopefully retired doing nearly nothing at 53, but may be a couple years off yet. Not sure if I still want to be living in Michigan. My wife would for sure love to move south I think. But we're not the type of people to just up and leave since we love being near family. Maybe I'll be doing some classic car restorations on the side, or at least buying, fixing them up and selling them.

Well, let'* see... I'd be 39, I guess

After the hydrogen breakthrough, GM once again was the number one automaker in the world, and Detroit became the 4th most affluent city in America, and the 3rd largest. I'll be living in Birmingham, Michigan in a large three bedroom loft, with two kids, one boy and one girl, a loving wife (after the vast popularity of prenuptial agreements, divorces saw a steady downfall) and a classic 1992 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi that'* my pride and joy. I'll be working for General Motors at their performance division designing the new 2030 Corvette Z06. I have a summer home in Philadelphia, right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, and I enjoy to fish (only virtual, since most fish species are on the endangered species list) and play Playstation 6 on my 130" 2160p tv

I can't even see into next week.

I will be 41 and I'll be happily looking at my investments I started back in 07. Planning how I could spend the next 20+ years of my life in leisure.

Unless one of the following gets me first.

I never worry about the future, that just cause stress and anxiety.

In 20 years, I'm sure renewable fuel sources would be invented and perfected and the economy leveled off and everything will still be the same but some technology will get modernized and more advanced.

I'll be forty with a trophy wife.

Retired and relying on the children to take care of me. Yeah, right. They will probably send me to a nursing home (or Psych ward)
