GNES,
Well, I am glad that you bought the Bonneville. And I am glad that you found this forum. I hope we can help you out with your questions. I am sure you probably mentioned it in a previous post, but what year and trim level is your Bonneville? If you ever get the opportunity to take a picture with a digital camera, we would love to see it. I hope the Russian winters aren't too hard on your car. As you know, all steel bodied cars will rust out eventually...not just the Russian cars.

Talk to you later.

VIN 1G2HX53L5P1262137
SE93, green forest, sand. A picture I shall scan and I shall send later.
It is possible to put the turbine on my engine? Or to increase capacity other ways (easy pistons e.t.c.)?

You would have to talk to Hector (99BonnevilleSE) at AngryDuckTofuRacing.Com. I believe he knows of a kit that can go on your engine--I believe both a Turbo and a Supercharger. But the stock M62 will not bolt up to your engine. The aftermarket version will probably give you more horsepowere any way. What color are your wheels? if they are gold, you will become a Green/Ghetto Gold club member. If not, you still have a great looking car (even if it is rough).

Wheels probably were gold. Same as in a picture. It is just necessary to wash them
On the engine there are current works before to begin speeding up.
It is necessary to pierce a crankshaft - 400 $
I think together with it to replace some details on tuned.
Today I have found out cost of exhaust system - 1000 $. These are parallel pipes from stainless steel from three forward and three back cylinders separately. The collectors not connected among themselves with equal long pipes.
By the way, where members of club gather? I offer on neutral territory, for example in Jordan or Egypt, red sea, Petra... ..Not, there f@@k'n terrorists.... Better in Tunis, at the same time it is possible to look a place where Lukas filmed Star Wars. I am afraid only mine bonnie there will not reach...

Gnes, good to hear from you again.

Well, I think Jordan, Egypt, and Tunis are a bit far for most of us , I don't think any of our Bonnies would make it that far--not without an amphibious modification and a very good snorkle....but then the sea water may rust our cars. Just Kidding!

I think you should reconsider the dual exhaust all the way back from the exhaust manifolds. You will loose valuable torque (which is what gives our Bonnevilles the low end punch during take-off. I would suggest a cat-back exhaust--splitting the exhaust into two just after the catalytic converter. This will give your Bonneville a better exhaust--allowing for better horse power, but won't rob your torque.

Too bad about the crank shaft, that is a major repair. I hope you can get one in Russia. Maybe your friend in New York (?) can help you out. I am still looking forward to seeing a pick of your Bonneville, maybe with the Kremlin in the background (do they allow people to get that close to the Kremlin with their cars?).

Take care for now.

Gnes,

GREAT to have you here! We'll help you in any way we can, and we hope you help us, too. It sounds like you know your cars. Nice color, too!

gnes, you just made my day . From here in Texas let me also wecome you! Hope you find a crank shaft for your Bonnie soon. My Bonnie is in the shop having the Transmission rebuilt. Don't know what the final price to fix it will be. It is around 55 degrees here in North Texas. We call this cold around here ! It makes me appreciate my car that much more. Maybe your friend in New York can send you a crank shaft :?: If not then one from a wrecking yard perhaps. Just an idea....

I doubt he will find one in a wrecking yard in Moscow, He probably has the only Bonneville in Russia as they weren't exported much to Western and Eastern Europe--only individuals exported their own cars to those areas. If you have ever been over there, you will see that a Focus is considered a LARGE car. They do have a lot of Mercedes-Benz that fill the need for large cars, but American/Canadian made cars are rare.

Don't worry about it to much mine is almost at 180,000 and still runs fine. that is, after i change the head gaskets but I've heard that they will go much further, into the high 200,000'*, i think

Any idea how much one from the wrecking yard might cost? Maybe one could be shiped from the US for him.
