A lot. Seriously.

12V jumper pack, inverter, compressor, tire kit, fire extinguisher (x2, 1 up front, 1 in rear), duct tape, spare wire, fuses, bulbs, terminals, butane soldering iron, coat hanger wire, shovel, oil, rad fluid, washer fluid, spare belts, hose repair, shop towels, water, flashlights, crank powered light/radio/charger, boots, tow strap, JB weld, quiksteel, silicone sealant, PB blaster, roll of quarters, spare cheap pre-paid cell phone, handheld CB, handheld GMRS radio/weather radio, flares, magnetic emergency lights, battery operated strobe light, trashbags, 18V cordless drill with bits, 12V cordless dremel with bits, and basically all my hand tools that aren't specialty use items, um....

Then I have "other" stuff, not really car related...
My geocaching "stuff" bag...Garmin 450T, trekking poles, hiking gear, extra batteries, 12V charger to charge AA and AAAs, multi-tool, more flashlights, head lamps, writing utensils, compass, maps, um...
I have my First Responder "kit" bag (first aid, CPR, triage, emergency situation items)
I have my "Go Bag" (the kind of kit you would have if you got stuck in the middle of nowhere and had to hike it home or to someplace) contents of which I'll keep to myself...

Anything in a bag or my tool box gets moved back and forth between vehicles, depending on how far I'm going with either. Things like chargers, flashlights, maps, vehicle first aid kits, manuals, fluids, and the fire extinguishers stay with each vehicle.

Call me a "prepper" if you like. "Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!"

(And in case you're wondering how I keep it all together, and organized... check out Maxpedition gear. Their bags/packs/gear are awesome!)
