I'm not a shoe collector but I do invest in purses. And when I get short on cash I sell some on Ebay and get most of my money back if not all of it. I probably have at least 100 purses ranging from Coach, The Sak, Marino Orlandi, Marco Buggiani, Perlina, Stone Mountain, to name a few brands. Most of those especially Coach and Marino Orlandi retain their value well. Not too long ago I bought a Marino Orlandi for $100 and used it quite a bit and then turned around and sold it for $75. My ex-sizzle bought me one of those for $130 and I turned around after we split and sold it for $150.
