Yep that would be why, LOL.

But I do remember using a program called "tweak ??" not sure exactly the name, but it was tweak something.

That did it for me.

Yeah that'* it. Windows ME is what we used to call in Tech support a LEGAL VIRUS.

Whenever we got calls that we couldn't explain for problems that didn't make sence they always used windows ME. When we asked what OS they were running we knew we would probably end the call with : " to solve your problem you will hve to RE-INSTALL the OS".

I know I have been there. I once had to re-install it 3 times in one month on my own system. Lets just say I now run window XP.

Installation of the Powertoys and TweakUI:
1. Extract all of the files to a folder on your Hard Disk Drive (for example, C:\TweakUI or C:\Power)

2. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the folder that you extracted the files to and right click the 'inf' file (this is the file that looks like a spiral ring notebook with a yellow seal on the bottom right hand corner). When you right click the inf file, a context menu will appear that has an item called 'install'.

3. Click the 'install' option from the context menu and follow the directions on the screen.

4. If the installation program asks for the installation disks or files, then point the program to the folder which you extracted the files to.
