My mom and Grandma are ok, house lost a few shingles but other then some leaks they are doing fine. Water is running, power is out, and cell phones are hard to get through.

and more importantly http://www.pensacolanewsjournal.com/blogs/stormteam/

They got hit HARD, that town has been basically shut down since thursday, and they don't know when they'll be up for anything. Most bridges are toasted, I-10'* bridge, and both spans will need to basically be built new again.....

My mom'* friend is up here for an expo, and she came a few days sooner, due to the hurricane. She lives not 500 feet from the Gulf. And her house has a little water damage, and a few lost shingles. Her new house [which she'* building], was just fine. However her friends lost their first level due to water damage [right on lake], and some of her other friends' houses were leveled. A tornado hit there too, and that is what caused the most damage in Pensacola/Navarre Beach.
