Well since I just blew 2/3'* of my bonus on fixing the Bonnie, most of our $1800 will go for that TV we promised ourselves for Christmas along with a new stand. Or unless we haven't sold our house yet it will go towards the new one.

mines going to the "Feed The Bonneville Fund". And perhaps a dry-sump pump for the new engine.

Well, it'* a good thing that this thread is about what you're gonna do with your tax rebate, not ideas on new taxes, cause that'* a bad idea.

Mine'll go towards bills and school.

Only the one I'm looking at has a better condition stock, and a verified troop tag as well!

I talked to a strongly Republican former city employee today about this, and he said the money for this will come out of cutting back on spending on government programs, and it will not be up to 2009 taxpayers to pay back. I'm not too sure about that, but at least now we have a heavily biased Republican opinion by someone involved deeply with politics. Just thought I'd let you know.

I agree here. My dad watches alot of the news and I asked him this same question about it being like an advance like the last time. He said no this is different, they are not going to take it off of your taxes. So I think it is safe to say that this is not an advance.
As for what I am gonna do with the money. I will deffinately be gettin my Ranchero back on the road this summer with a front end rebuild. I found the whole kit with upper and lower A arms and all the ends, and joints for $375. The rest will maybe go to something nice for me and the wife to do like a getaway.

I'm beginning to believe this myself. Last I read says they're going to institute a one-time 0% tax bracket on the first x amount of AGI. If so, you will not owe it back.
