Well I just recently was given a puppy(I think its a boxer mix).
I have been doing research on what food to get and I came across a website that had a bunch of information on different dog foods.
I was going to just buy some Puppy Chow over at Walmart until I saw how bad it was. Looks like alot of the big name brand foods for dog are not very healthy for our pets. Its funny now to look at dog food after reading on this site. Alot of dog food like "puppy chow" is mainly made from Corn and other Grains. The ideal kind of food for dogs should hopefully have actual meats in the food. So when looking at dog food ingredients look at the first few ingredients. From what I understand the first 4-5 ingredients take up the majority of food. So if the food starts with "corn, wheat, or other grains" its really not to beneficial to our dogs. I am starting to try to look for food that has at least have some kind of meat in the first 2 ingredients. Well I hope this helps all of you guys out!

Currently I am feeding my dog NutriSource Dog Food (Small and Medium Breed Puppy Chicken and Rice).
The price isn't too bad for a 4-star quality dog food.
I feed my dog 2 cups a day (one around lunch and one around dinner time).

I took some pictures of my dog just a few minutes ago.
He is about 8-10 weeks old.
Like i said he is a Mix but we are unsure on what he is. According to my Vet he thinks Duke is Boxer/Pitbull.
What ever breed he is we like him!
We have been feeding him NutriSource. I am running out of the little bag I had so I picked up some Purina ProPlan over at Tractor Supply today.
I really didnt plan on getting any Purina food but it was a deal I could not turn down. I guess there is a whole section where damaged bags are. I bought a 35LB bag of Purina ProPlan for $9.99(originally $39.99). It was marked down because it lost a few pounds when the bag was damaged which was 8LBs. So far he like the little bit I gave him today.

my old german shepherd used to eat corn off the cob like a person, he was so cool

My dog used to eat carrots, potatoes, turnip, and basically anything except for lettuce, cabbage, or any leafy vegetable. lol

I do Authority with Real Chicken. It'* the Petsmart brand. I looked at a few sites also which ranked the foods. It was close to the top, but cheaper than the very high quality ones. I usually pay like $27 for 35 pounds

That Purina ProPlan is what my girlfriend'* job feeds the dogs they have.

The vets that work there say it'* great stuff, and worth the price.

my girlfriends monsters are on Purina pro too. used to get some fancy *** dog food from hollywood feed but it was like $50 a bag and i got tired of paying that much when she feeds them scraps of everything she eats.
