What do you think guys?
Hey, something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
so, in the short term, no it'* not worth it at all, but come 30-40 years later, it might. Just don't think it would be worth it to spend the cash now for something that might be worth more later on.
Spend the money on other things, like the car you have now

WELL puddy, thats what I was thinking, is that if i keep it in good condition and all and only driven in the summer, I would be curious to know how much it COULD be worth in 20-30 years! Becuase if GM decides to switch back to RWD EXCLUSIVELY then this little 20 year period of time which i refer to as the FWD era... cars from now in good condition will be worth quite a bit! ESPCIALLY if they are RARE to begin with.
Cody I appreciate that, that is what I was thinking.
And Ryan, I was only kidding, I know I asked for HONEST opinions. And I know down deep this is only a car and that there is nothing SUPER special about it, but it DOES mean something to me, and I have decided to start saving money for it. And if it ends up not working out? Well then it just doesn't work out, its only a car afterall, and I somehow doubt that the guy I sold it to has kept it in the kind of condition that I had it in. I am just going to leave it at that. If I can find it, I can find it. If I don't well thats disappointing but hey, life is not ONLY about material things.
Any more opinions are welcome.

hey john;
you said you really liked this car and you are saving the money up...so you aren't shorting yourself in paying bills or whatever, then go for it!
i've had a few cars where friends opening lines were "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!"....especially after they found out what i paid.
what i was thinking was simply the fun and enjoyment of having a car i WANTED. not to make money on( does anybody ever make money on cars?
), or cause somebody else thought it was rare, it was i liked it, i wanted it and i could afford it. case closed!

What about it makes it rare? Options and such? I will acknowledge that looks like it is in amazing condition, but a 1978 Pinto in amazing condition isn't worth much either (ok, it'* more than a Pinto, but you get my point).
Yes apparently it is fully loaded which VERY few were. From what I know, the only option it doesn't have is the dual exhaust.
it has the DIC, full gauge package, leather, FE3 suspension, and a few other things, not even mentioning that it it was 16 years old at the time of this photo and is in IMPECCABLE condition except for one patch of paint on the roof is oxydized.
That can be repainted. plus when i sold it, it had not ONCE TRACE of rust.
Whats the verdict boys?
I think its down to, if i can make a deal with him and can come up with the money...you will be seeing that car in my posession next year.

Here'* what it has....
3300 V6, 440-T4 GX3 3.33 4 speed (fairly quick in this 2900lb car)
FE3 Suspension
Rally gauges with console shift, and DIC
Power Leather seats with cloth inserts
Cassette player with EQ
Fog lights
International package (includes rims, fogs, body GFX)
Some had optional dual output muffler and spoiler.
There were 5132 made and I BELIEVE only about 550-600 of these were produced with all options, and are hard to come by, and are found to be sought after by a-body enthusiasts such as me and the forum i am joined to.
I mean yes, people may not freak over them and pay X amounts of money for them, but for the people that know that they are that rare, they would love to own one. Even rarer is the fully loaded 2 doors with the 2 tone paint job.
