Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

What do you guys think I should do?

Call the dealer and get a quote for a full front brake job. (rotors, pads, bleed).

Then price the parts and tell her how much you can save her for only 2 hours of work.

I talked her into getting a price quote at each place.

It'll be even cheaper when we buy the rotors and pads and bring them in

I wanted to. She wouldn't let me She got up at 3 in the morning to go to work by 4:30. I would've been more than okay with doing it, and picking her up when she was done. She didn't of course, and didn't use her mom or dads cars, she used hers :( apparently I can't get through

BUT

I did have her call the two places and she said "well how about we do it ourselves" haha. So tomorrow is the day.

BTW anyone want anything from the junkyard. im going to a HUGE pick a part, 1600 cars. I'm so excited LOL. Gonna look for some awesome parts :P

I wouldn't recommend buying the cheapest rotors you can find, there'* some real crap out there that'll just end up warping. Then the parents will say "you should have taken it to the dealer". Get a name brand with a least a 1 year warranty.

Are you replacing the pads and rotors, or just the pads?

That'* what they are, from Autozone. Cheap but still have the warranty.

We're gonna see how pad the rotors are, so they're probably just gonna get turned down.
