let me give you some sparse definitions from me:

a gyro is greek and on pita bread.
a sub is on french bread
a sandwich is on sandwich bread.
a club is on sandwich bread, but costs more than a "sandwich"

all the other names are just filler.

Maybe if you were clear ....all the confusion wouldn't occur....

Grinder is the local name for it. Say Hoagie..and someone probaly thinks you are saying hello with a mouthful..lol
