Was in city where I keep my CS and figured I'd stop by and check on it. I can't wait to get it home and start working on it again. I have quite a bit of new parts to go on for this summer season of driving.

If kissing a car goodnight constitutes being a weirdo, I wonder what this guy would be labeled as?

Took the van out today to get some vacuum readings still suspecting a vacuum leak causing the high idle. Started cold @ idle(high) - 17. No tach. Started warm @ idle(high) - 20. Any comments would be appreciated. Runs strong for a brick. Smoked 'em for about a 100 ft just playing the throttle making sure not to over-rev. Smiled all the way and loved the sound!

i dont know what the vacuum supposed to be but im sure it varies. if you suspect a vacuum lines or vacuum component you can cap everything at the carb and manifold and if it runs good, plug one thing back in at a time

I had a some what busy morning. The vans power steering was making a lot of noise and was really hard to turn the wheel. Pulled it in the shop expecting the fluid to be low. It was foam. I think some water got in there some how. I sucked out what I could and refilled it, a bit more foam came out. It all works now. But will drain it all out in spring and replace all the fluid.
Then I got to work on the car. The other day I left for work, On the way the brake peddle went to the floor. By the time I got to work I had nothing left, the dash light came on and was beeping at me. Limped in to the parking lot, popped the hood, just a little brake fluid left. Texted my wife and asked her to pick up a bottle of fluid and drop it off. I topped it off and then started the long, slow, white knuckle drive home. All back country roads. I found the problem today, and fixed it. Total repair, $8.39 plus the fluid. I'm pretty sure this was the issue.
