yeah we got about the same thing down here

drifting has been the key factor in plowing today LOL

damn near got the plow truck stuck in a drift this afternoon, tried to tackle a drift higher than the blade, unfortunately the lot isnt that big enough to get a running start at it, so i tried it from a 10mph roll (in 4HI) i dropped the blade and laid the throttle, nd she got stuck half way thru, after rocking it a bit and messing with the blade i got it back out,

at that point i was pissed, and decided to have another go at it, this time i backed up as far as i could, locked it in 4LO then laid the hammer even harder than before and she pulled thru in one try

i tell ya, plowing in the them wind gusts aint fun, visibility is pour, thank god i was familiar with the lots i had to do

6* today, so I went out to warm up the truck. Fired up first shot, man I love a reliable engine. Went to get my son to take him to school. Put truck in reverse, felt it load up and didn't move. Did I forget the parking brake? Nope. Tried again, no move, but it was sure loading up. Dang. Shifted to 2WD, gave her the gas and bang, the rear wheels start spinning, but still not moving. Shifted back to 4WD, gave her the gas, bang, it starts moving. Guess playing around in the deep snow last night froze the brakes. The road (country road) I take to take my son to school wasn't a road, it'* a glacier. All ice. Still fun to drive on though.

Was just out in the shop, it'* so cold. I put some plastic up in the rafters to help insulate the shop. I have a vented roof, so any heat just goes right out the roof. I blocked off 2/3s of the roof. Need more plastic. But it should help.

That'* why I like salvage yards. You can figure it all out with out risking your own stuff.
