Welp, after running around with a completely rusted through fuel vent tube for the past 3 months, and breathing gas fumes for 1.5 hours a day of driving, got them all replaced.
And $612 later, now I'm in the poor house.
Damn.
All the lines in the car are done, and fuel filter replaced.
And this was at my independent shop. $48/hr labor x2 hours.
Also found out that my mount bushings on the rear FE5 anti roll bar are torn out. They couldn't find a local place to get them from, so I have to hunt some down. At least I know why its making noises in the rear end, and the back end feels a bit unstable.
Good thing tomorrow is payday. Ugh.
And good thing I like this car..... geez.

And did I mention I hate ethanol?

They could have been patched, but all of them were rusting at the fittings. The straight sections of tube right under the car were clean enough to eat off of, but anything near a junction or fitting was shot. And they were clean when I first got the car 2.5 years ago. Ever since the last station here switched over to E-10, everything went in the crapper. Injectors, lines, the gas mileage...
I've been running Lucas ethanol treatment for the last year on a steady diet of usually 91 octane. Doesn't seem to have helped much.
