The high contrast option! Been there got bit. It'* usually used for people who have vision problems and it ignores .css, image backgrounds and font handling in your web browser.
It didn't even dawn on me that you may have 'fiddled' in the OS...the FF comment through me off course. Sorry about that.

LOL! and ya,.... WoW. I never used the high contrast setting before. Went through a couple threads outside and really didnt notice, and then shut it down. Brought the laptop inside and it was like WTF! Hehehe.
