It just dynoed at 600hp and 1100lbs and has 52lbs of boost (without nitrous or propane injection)...try again

LakevilleSSEi 04-13-2006 01:56 AM

That looks to me to be a cummin's engine, GM's are V blocks.

The piece you're talking about looks like HUGE air swirler....

Like the "Tornado" or whatever it is that you wanna call it.

no not that...that is where the hood scoop goes in..below that...with the 2 cables on it.

LakevilleSSEi 04-13-2006 02:00 AM

PS it and circle what I'm supposed to be looking at...I'm A.D.D.ing myself right out of existtance at the moment. :P

corvettecrazy 04-13-2006 02:05 AM

water injection ?

LakevilleSSEi 04-13-2006 02:06 AM

You wouldn't need water injection on a diesel....

idk,

what other things have a +/- what looks like a place to put stuff in, and a clear tube going out through a white thingy.

EDIT: and the clear tube ends in the intake.

LakevilleSSEi 04-13-2006 02:27 AM

That looks to me to be propane injection, which he mentioned and said to ignore....Idk

That's why I want him to just circle the damned thing!!! LOL

he did circle it.

propane for injection is normally stored in a tank just like N02.

W/e it is, the system doesn't see that much preasure. but it does go into the intake before the turbo. right next to the nozzle for either the nitrous or propane

LakevilleSSEi 04-13-2006 03:09 AM

It looks like a 24 volt battery to eliminate the use of 2 batteries in the truck....i could be wrong.

Hans, do YOU even know what it is? LOL

corvettecrazy 04-13-2006 03:13 AM

but why would a battery connect to the intake??

and he sort of does. his discription sucks

LakevilleSSEi 04-13-2006 03:17 AM

It doesn't appear to be connecected to the intake.....Almost like it's holder is connected to some sort of liquid system....I dunno I give up.

Hans, it's time for your shitty description lol.

Hans 04-13-2006 03:18 AM

How will cars 20 years from now get "90MPG"

corvettecrazy 04-13-2006 03:22 AM

follow the clear tube:

LakevilleSSEi 04-13-2006 03:24 AM

oh ya that's easy...it disapears at the turbo unit....lol

Still don't know what it is.

wjcollier07 04-13-2006 04:34 AM

WHAT, in the name of god is that thing? That battery looking thing is extremely odd... thw whole thing is yellow...im lost

willwren 04-13-2006 07:34 AM

Yes, diesels DO use water injection.

Darrel 04-13-2006 07:34 AM

ok, someones gotta give it up... what is it?

John Deere Boy 04-13-2006 07:35 AM

Its a hydrogen engine and that unit thar is a water electrolysis device!

corvettecrazy 04-13-2006 10:25 AM

JDB is closest, but still not correct :D

and correct me if I am wrong, but only diesels can use propane and nitrous injection.
