I thought it would be neat to learn how to build a website. How did you learn this?

I started at webmonkey.com, I wonder if it'* still up? It was a good 6 years ago, or something...

seems to be, looks like I will be busy reading for a few nights. Thank you.

BTW, this is coming from a guy who doesnt even own a digital camera, I am Neticapped thats for sure

x2. htmlgoodies is good too.

as for taking apart other pages . . . lately that doesnt work well. too many people are using programs that generate the html for them which easily results in coding thats confusing at best.

do it the right way and make your page worthy:

I used MS Word once. Ended up being a nice looking page, but with all the PNG files and extra coding, it was HUGE (storage wise) and nearly impossible to edit

Notepad is definitely the way to go!!

I had a book, but I don't know where it is. After I got the hang of it, it was always a good reference for like color codes and what not...

If you wanna put java in it...don't ask. I could never really figure that out.

javascript isnt hard at all, but get a handle on html before you start messing around with it.
