Oh man! Reminds me of Missouri in '02! In my particular neighborhood, we were without power for 2 weeks and the ice outside was upwards of 3-5 inches thick. At the time, I had an 84 Chrysler LeBaron convertible and it took us almost 2 hours just to get the ice off of the top!
