The state park by my house had there big fireworks show tonight. We decided we'd go to the bridge next to it and watch the fireworks rather than spending $6 to park the car for like 15 minutes. The newspaper said the fireworks would start at 9:20 PM, and the bridge is about 10 minutes away from our house, so we left at about 9:10 PM figuring we'd waste no time. A friend of mine lives a couple miles from the bridge, so I was gonna stop and pick him up so he could get a better view (could see them from his house, but not that great). At exactly 9:20 we pulled into his driveway and had seen a few flashes so we figured the fireworks had just started. He was sitting in his driveway in his car so I pulled up next to him. He let his window down and said "What'* up?". I said "I thought you wanted to go see the fireworks". He said "They're already over". The park decided for some reason to start the fireworks at 9:00 PM. The bright flashes I'd seen was the last fireworks. My friend had sat in his driveway and watched them the whole time. The paper said 9:20, yet they started at 9. I'm kinda teed because I wasted the gas to drive out there. I wonder how many other people missed them?

well that sucks :? Maybe tomorrows paper will say something about the mistake.
