Where is it leaking? I always use teflon tape on the threads.

I've often purchased inexpensive air hoses. Leaks are usually at the threaded connections. Use teflon tape.

I did.

It leaks at the swivel joint on the male end.

I guess the cheap way out does become more expensive. just do what will said before you wind up with 6 leaking hoses and short $50.
