Ya, Me to Mouse. Living in the most rural surroundings PA has to offer gives me alot of choices of "Mom and Pop" stores to support. ( And I Do) But some things just can't be had there. Including this E-Machine 1.6GHz Athalon, 1.75 Gig Ram, with 20" flat panel Monitor I picked off a palleted stack of @ Walmart. Meanwhile it looks like the cost of postage is going up again and Saturday Deliveries are going down the drain. The Fed Government has no management skills. Or care of financial responsibility. Whatever someone thinks of Walmart, they apparently do such right. I get tired of people spouting off about what Private Corps should and should not do. They are private, in business to make money, and not social causes. Sam Walton'* idea'* and ability'* to setup and manage a mega corporation was ground breaking, and all we hear is the Hate'in.......

Besides, where else can you find free entertainment that rival'* a long walk on Atlantic City'* Boardwalk.

My oldest daughter and I use to spend 3 maybe 4 hrs after midnight just perusing the store. As well as grocery shop. One time she bought a bike and rode it around the front end back to where the bikes are kept. We knew most of the overnight stock as one cool greeter that lived near us.

Why? They don't give any more back to the community than walmart. Sure walmart ruins small businesses all over the place.... but what does that small business do for you? It isn't like they are a no profit operation either. They want to profit from your money exactly the same.as walmart does.

You have to remember that I am in a semi-rural area, so unless I travel some distance, the only ones nearby are fairly small. That being said, even online, the largest inseam with a 38" waist normally is 34" for walmart clothes. I have a 56" chest, 19" neck and 36" long arms. Therefore that is close to 2XLT, and I find walmart rarely stocks Tall sizes...

Why do I prefer Mom & Pop stores over Walmart? They way they treat their employees (if they have any) and their customers.

I try to stay out of Wal-Mart as much as possible unless I'm traveling, because then I don't know where the mom & pop stores are.
