From the "other side of the street" point of view (AKA: TARGET) we've never had layaway offered. 24hour hold and that'* it. Yeah, we get hasseled about it, but come on people.... America wonders why it'* citizens have so much credit...

I tend to stay away from wal mart due to the fact I HATE shoping there. The overall experience makes me feel dirty and cheap.

We have comp. shoppers that compare prices between our competetors and you'd be suprised at how there is little to no price difference there is from Wal Mart vs. Target. Granted Wal Mart has more product, generally, which gives them the advantage to a "one stop shop" for the customer.

Eh, so that'* how I feel

I haven't used layaway for a few years. It can come in handy like when I visited my parents and was in their walmart and saw a big tv on sale. I had been looking for one and knew it was a good sale. I went home and went to my walmart to see if they had the same sale but no such luck. I called my dad and asked him to go put it on layaway for me and I would travel the 100 miles to pick it up the next week. It worked out good and I got to visit with my family again.

I use to never shop at walmart when I lived in Chicago. I always went to Kmart & Target. Target stores are not readily available here. I can go to Target in Florence, AL or Memphis, TN.

I am a bargain shopper from way back when and I love to find a good bargain. I try not to pay retail on anything if I can get a better price somewhere else. It'* the thrill of the hunt!!

Hey, when you're good you say you're good Dang, I am good It is like an adrenaline rush for me. That is why I enjoy Ebay so much!! I will find something on there and get it at a great rate and turn around and sell it for even more and make a profit. I know what I'm looking for and what the items go for.

I sope the competition for some items... There is a little place called Freds.. I get my terry cloths there, as well as Havoline oil and oil filters all for a very good price... They are a small store, about the scale of an Eckards, CVS, Wallgreens... But they have a little bit of everything... So far they are doing pretty good and have been open for about 1 month.. and series of us wal Mart employees shop there.. and Publix supermarkets for that matter... Its a good think wal Mart does not have true car parts like alternators...
Yeah, I do like getting my SilverStar bulbs at wal mart though, considerably cheaper than any parts store I have seen

It'* funny... Target is supposedly a "high end Wal Mart", but the employees at Target get paid worse :?

fred'* is all right to shop at. I don't shop there often. I do like to shop at Walgreen'* though because Jeff works there and I get 15% off of everything

For example I like Physicians Formula makeup but it is pretty expensive. I wait until they have it on sale and then I go in with a coupon and by the time they take the $18 item, mark down to $11 sales price, take off $3.00 coupon and then my 15% I get the item for about the same as the cheaper cosmetics.
