yeah but the problem with burning is that its not as safe as keeping it on a exturnal hard drive you only turn on once when you need it.
I dont trust cd'* or dvd'* to hold all my data

yeah i have my storge ones external because i dont want them on all the time, dont want then to die...
So in my PC i have my two 160G'* Sata2 in Raid 0
and two 120GB Sata1 just for storge.
my two 250GB just is in Drive bay cases untill i need then.

wow, lots of people here with lots of music/movies... i only have a lot of music cause i'm a DJ, otherwise it wouldn't be nearly what it is...
the ideal thing for me (and i WILL happen someday
is having 3 external drives that are all identical copies of eachother. one drive for using on all my DJ gigs, one to take with me for a backup in the event that the first dies, and one to keep back at home locked up in a fireproof safe or something! but to do that i'll need 3 really big drives... i've got 150 GB full right now and i'm adding more to it daily... i'd like to get a few 700 GB drives to de the redundancy thing with. a friend of mine said that they are starting to make the hardware a little differenty now and it should drive the prices of the extreemly large drives down. thats what i'm waiting for!
