Veterans Day / Remembrance Day
Its a happy day in regards to realizing our freedoms and rights based on the sacrifices of our servicemen and women throughout history, both past and recent.
Yet its a sad sad day to remember the people lost.
No one'* assesment of this day has been wrong

Please remember to fly your flags today. Happy Veterans day to all. I was woken up this morning by a 21-Gun salute at our big city park, only 8 blocks down the street.
Happens every year, but it still takes til about the 3rd BOOM to remember what it is!

Have a great Vetrans day. And 95neongirl please don't stress it. Memorial day is for our fallen brothers and sisters. Vetrans day is for those of us that are still here and though it may be sad for some of us it'* because of the memories it may stir up. We should all be happy today that there are people willing to give up part or all of there life so we may enjoy what we have. So go out there and enjoy your freedom, even all of you in Canada. . Some died for it. We fought for it, and we will live with it till we too pass so please don't waste it.

So to those of you who are serving this great nation of ours, and those of you who HAVE served and done your time, I can only hope that you accept this as my thanks for all that you have done, as I am not present to shake your hand for being a hero. I try to do this to as many vets as i can whenever i see them, so that they know that the younger generation is not obvious to what they have done and so that they know what they did had some meaning to someone, even if it is onlya 20 year old.
Sorry this is so long guys had to get it out

With you all the way, Navy. Thanks for the ride. My respect for the Navy came from our Medical Corps. All Navy for those who don't know. We had a pretty good rivalry when I was active duty, but always respected each other just the same.
