Default vats on 94 gp

how can you disabel the vats on a 1994 grand prix .light is flashing and car wont start. but will if i jump starter then dies with in 5 to 10 seconds.

Your problem is not VATS. If it were VATS, it wouldn't start, even if you jumped it.

Doesn't seem like it should start but I've read other posts where people have run a jumper to the starter solenoid & they all said it would start & then stall. Maybe the PCM doesn't check for the Vats signal until it takes over timing from the ICM?

Hmmm... why wouldn't it?

I know vats diasables starter and injectors but wouldn't that (Injector cutoff) only be after the handoff from the ICM?

i did the jumper to the starter solenoid .cranks and runs for 5 sec.
